Automated bookkeeping, checked by a person where it matters.
Upload your bank and card statements. Every page is read, every account is tied to the bank’s own totals, and every transaction lands on a line of your tax return automatically. A person on the Siize team reviews the edge cases, the uncertain, the large and the things only you can explain, before each month closes.
$99 a month per book · $149 for a household + business · statements only · cancel anytime.
How it works
- Read every page. Each statement PDF is read page by page: every deposit, withdrawal, fee and transfer, with the page it came from.
- Tie to the bank. Opening plus money in minus money out must equal the closing balance, and our totals must equal the totals the bank printed.
- Put it on a tax line. Rules built for your return (Schedule C, 1065, 1120-S, 1120, Schedules A, B and E) categorize the volume.
- Human QC on the exceptions. Uncategorized, low-confidence, large and payment-app items go to a person, who fixes them or asks you the one question only you can answer.
- Close the month. By the 10th, when every account ties and every exception is reviewed. Then it locks.
- Statements and package. Income statement, balance sheet, cash flows and equity (or net worth) every month, and a year-end tax-ready package.
Spending, budget and receipts
The spending view shows every category; click one and move a transaction, a selection or everything from a vendor, and the charts, statements and tax lines follow. Siize Books recommends a monthly budget from your own statements and shows every month against it, with carryover. Snap or upload receipts and each one is read and matched to its transaction.
Ask Carol
Ask Carol in plain English from inside your book: how the month is going, where the money went, which budget lines are over, what still needs a receipt. Her answers come from your own reconciled numbers. Included at no extra cost for a limited time.
Year-end
A tax-ready package laid out by the lines on your return, with an Excel workbook and a ledger CSV, for your CPA or your tax software. Siize is not a tax preparer and does not give tax advice.
Pricing
One book (a business or a household): $99 a month. A household and a business together: $149 a month. Up to 5 bank and card accounts and about 300 transactions a month per book. Billed monthly through Stripe; cancel anytime.
Questions
Is this software or a service?
Both. The bookkeeping is automated: reading statements, tying them to the bank, categorizing and building the statements. A person on the Siize team reviews the exceptions the automation is unsure about and signs off each month-end close.
Why statements instead of connecting my bank?
Statements are the bank’s own record, with printed totals we can tie to. Nothing breaks when a bank changes its login, and no credentials are ever shared.
What does a person actually review?
Only exceptions: anything uncategorized, low-confidence or large, payment-app transfers, items only you can explain, and the month-end checklist. Everything else posts automatically.
Can I ask Carol about my books?
Yes. Open your book and ask Carol in plain English: how this month is going, where the money went, which budget lines are over, what still needs a receipt. Answers come from your own reconciled transactions, budget, receipts and statements. Included in the $99 and $149 plans at no extra cost for a limited time.
Which tax forms do the categories follow?
Schedule C, Form 1065, Form 1120-S and Form 1120 for businesses; Form 1040 with Schedules A, B and E for households. Each transaction shows the line it lands on.
Is Siize a tax preparer?
No. Siize keeps your books and prepares a tax-ready package for whoever files your return. Siize does not prepare or file returns or give tax advice.
